It's the past. We had a beautiful bunch of listeners, and the night was great!
Orchestra Dedicated Is off this week.
Anyway, yours truly piano player will play with band called "Leszek Żądło European Jazz Ensemble"
Yoy are warm welcome.
You can't go wrong with us.
We built great mood within our team, which let us play with joy, and, consequently, we're passing this mood on to you, our audience.
Tonight our trumpet parts will be cooked by Rafal Walczak — our regular trumpeter does some things with Mr Penderecki.
During the first year of our existence we got array of excellent substitute player on every position in the band, and moreover, now we can consequently play more Wednesday nights in row.
Nuthin' wrong happened. We played as all previous times. Due to some logistical problems we had to prepare two substitute players, the no time was left for bloging. Check our next post.
Surprisingly we've got an invitation from The Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science for the concert in their library. Look at:
This is in Polish, here's an address:
ul. prof. Stanisława Łojasiewicza 11
We'll start at Friday afternoon, March 18, 6 P.M.
We can play our hot parts (for sweatening), and ballads too (for sweetening).
We'll heat overall evening's atmosphere against dropping temperature outside!
Come, and listen our solos and arrangements. Then have a good mood and some drinks.
Our Besetzung as listed in the last post.
You're warm welcome!
MAR 7 2018. WEE'LL HIT FOR SURE. Tonight Damian Niewiński will provide strong drive. Some Monk's music will be performed, one piece by Duke Ellington, one by John Birks Gillespie, one by Bob Haggart and several leader's originals.
We're gonna make this very cold period nicer with some hot sounds. You'll hear fresh arrangement of Th. Monk's "Little Rootie Tootie". In 1959 his band performed leader's solo from trio recording, orchestrated for whole horn section. But Monk played another one, that is prepared by WG for our band. Premiere.
Nothing wrong happened. We played last Wednesday. Due to many Academy errands, there was no time for blogging. Another sub player did very well; Jareq Kaczmarczyk played tenor part's and did it very well! He was able to play the whole programm. Substituting for Bartek Noszka it's not easy job!
See you next time (Wed FEB/28/18)!
Hope to bring some new stuff.
